Trauma and relational wounds can leave you feeling disconnected from who you are. You might like you are on-edge, depleted, and withdrawn from others due to your experiences. All of this can be deeply discouraging. You are probably ready to feel like healing is possible. You are ready to experience more joy and balance in your day-to-day life. People often come to me looking for a therapist who can help them to feel empowered in their life once again. I work with teens and adults to help them reclaim their story following trauma and challenging relationships. Throughout the process we’ll work collaboratively, using tools that help you to experience more peace. This may include a combination of creative exploration, somatic work, and talk therapy, depending on your unique needs and preferences.
In working with trauma, I start by providing clients with a safe space to express themselves and process their experiences. Together, we explore how these past experiences may be shaping their current symptoms and challenges. We may also explore coping skills and other resources in our initial work together. I work collaboratively with clients and empower them to tap into their strengths throughout the therapeutic process.
As a social worker and drama therapist, I often use creative arts to help people feel less stuck. You don’t have to continue feeling disconnected from yourself, and you don't have to do this alone.
